You get the pad wet, and it helps keep it wet as you go. Certainly with just a little experience it’s not a big issue. You certainly don’t have to stop and spray which is essentially the same thing.
I think the best answer is pony up the cash for a Trinity Phoenix or a Sprayborg. It slings off the top of the pad driver in 360 degrees so its always spraying where you are going.The only issue with running a shampoo tank with a bonnet is that the solution won't flow/disperse through the bonnet very well.
