Sisal vs Latex Paint

Is it possible to remove latex paint from Sisal using a solvent ? Or does a solvent damage the plant based fiber ?

I know if you had any success in removing the paint with a solvent you would then have a possible water spot to deal with. I've been able to spot clean some Sisal rugs, and then wet the whole thing evenly to get it a uniform look, with little to no issues.

I guess my real question is, will a solvent cause visable damage to Sisal, or on the molecular level such as high pH products to wool ?

This is just a hypothetical question.

If you use most non-volatile solvents it is likely to be absorbed into the fiber and not be removeable.
Test the backside in a corner with your solvent first

Make that 4-0! .... Suggest to them you could try with little to no success.. they still have to pay you.. or... (my personal favorite) Hire an artist and have them turn into a work of art.. (assuming its a rug) and buy a new one.. and if its WtW.. tell them get some REAL carpet.
