Other cleaners can view you as a competitor and some will view you as a friend. I always have an eye out for local cleaners mainly to refer work to because as an owner operator there are times I cant do a job within the timeframe the customer wants especially during the holidays. If I refer people to another cleaner I need to know that they do good work. I had one years ago but he retired and then found another. When I needed some extra hose for that church job it was nice that another local cleaner stepped up to the plate to help me out. Yesterday and today I actually worked along side a cleaner I now refer work to as the house was over 10,000 sf with furniture to be cleaned too. Too much to handle within a reasonable amount of time for this 67 yo by myself so I called John. He started on the third floor while I started in the lower level and we got it all done in two days.
