For other reasons I had a blood panel done this week which you would think with indicate that I've ingested far too many Teflon smoothies over the years but I'm healthy as a horse other than a slightly low testosterone count.
I’m receiving testosterone therapy also, and I’m still staunchly conservative. For reasons lost to even myself, I’ve never sold protectants to my customers and I’ve never stored them in my place of business. I tend to lean towards heavenly guidance as an explanation. I have had melanoma taken through surgery in the past, and my surgeon said chemical exposure during the course of my life was the probable cause. So, there’s a good chance that my presprays and rinses caused it. I’ve also developed asthma and sensitivity to odors in my later years, which I also attribute to the same chemical exposures. I’ve lived a good long productive life with financial, family and spiritual rewards. I owe carpet cleaning a portion of the success I’ve experienced. My son is now carrying on my business and will likely experience some of the same physical challenges I’m facing as a result. I see no way for him to carry on a successful cleaning business without the chemical exposure I’ve experienced. If a workable solution is found, I’ll be the first to encourage their use in his business.
My company purposely did not sell protector.Ive never sold protectants eighter but not for health reasons.where i live the air temp averages around 58° with a relitave humidity of 85%addind a gallon extra moisture for every 400 sqft isn't a smart move if drying is important plus the fact that in the 80s and 90's soil retardants were marketed and sold to me to sell to my customers to sell to customers to "boost profits ". That alone left a bad taste in my mouth
